Whether you buy a birdhouse from a retail outlet or make your own, several factors increase the likelihood of a successful flight. Some nest box designs are known to increase the chances of successful brood while others may contribute to the unfortunate demise of the young. A house good quality each bird should have the following characteristics.

1. Infant scale or a textured wall facade

The inside of the front wall of each house of birds, chicks need a ladder or a textured surface to dig their claws in lowercase. They must be able to mount the inlet to flight. If your bird houses are made of very smooth materials, it will be necessary burn horizontal grooves, forming a "ladder" for the fledglings to climb. Just gouge small lines about 1 / 2 "to 1" apart using a chisel, wood carving knife or other similar instrument in a horizontal pattern of the bottom of the box for the entry hole. You can also attach a 4 "x 4" square of window screen or fine mesh other using staples or wood glue wood. Just make sure the mesh is not too harsh and that the staples should not protrude. If you use glue, be sure it is completely dry before allowing the birds to occupy the house.

2. Smooth and safe entry holes

Birds are diligent to keep their feathers in good condition. Their lives depend on it. If the entrance hole is irregular or if has projections, this will damage the feathers each time a bird enters or leaves the box. Run your finger around the entrance hole of your birdhouse. If you feel ill, sand them with sandpaper grained. This should be done every year when you clean the old nest. If the entrance hole has been compromised by a squirrel, you may be able to put a keeper hole on top. These can be purchased or manufactured in your own shop just by cutting a square of thin wood and drill the hole the appropriate size inside. Attach the guard on the old, damaged hole with screws, being careful to keep the screws from penetrating inside the box where they can present a danger pen. Alternatively, you can join the guard with carpenters glue.

3. Ventilation holes and drainage

Without air flow, nesting boxes for Birds can become too hot or the air in May is not healthy for young birds to breathe. The entrance hole itself does not provide enough air fees if you need to add some air holes if they are lacking in your design. Ventilation holes should be located near the top box, preferably under the lip of a protective cover overhang.

If the nest box has holes in the bottom, these are not the ventilation and are for drainage. They are also essential. Drainage holes prevent fill boxes with rain and help keep nests dry if they become wet. Some species, like bluebirds, I do not mind if their nests get wet regularly. Check for holes in the floor of the box. They may be located in the middle or in the corners. If no drainage holes, do a bit with a drill. Drainage holes can be 1 / 8 "to 1 / 4 "diameter. Sometimes the holes are clogged with debris nest so be sure there are enough holes to allow this possibility.

4. Properly sealed roof seams

Good design bird house should not have seams leaking roof, but do not despair if you have one that does. If a joint roof that allows water in, it may be okay for the bluebird, providing only a few drops of water to obtain during a heavy rain storm. However, if much rain enters the box filling in May that it drains quickly, drowning cool chicks or unhappy. Regularly inspect the seams of the roof for potential leaks and fill them with a bead of caulking to the outside. Be absolutely sure the caulk is completely dry before putting it out. If a bird caulking materials or glue stuck to its feet or feathers, it may cause death.

5. Human access to clean

All bird houses should be well maintained. This can usually be done once a year after the chicks are gone. To do this, you need access to the interior of the box, without having to disassemble or break. Some decorative bird houses may not have this feature because they are bought more ornamentation for practical reasons. The best projects open at the sides or front. It is easier for you and less dangerous for wild birds. If the floor the box is the access point, there is a risk of accidentally opening and remove the occupants. Where entry is the roof, there are more risk of wetting the occupants in a major rainstorm, although this is easily prevented by following the steps of No. 4 above.

Sala Apolo Apolo and are located in the theater district of Parallel and were rocking the Beat on the Barcelona music scene for years. Booked as a performance venue for artists such as Paul Weller, the dirty old theater serves as the perfect backdrop for the multitude of alternatives. Leave the town slightly to Industrial Zone Poblenou, Razzmatazz and hovers over the neighborhood bar. Think Coldplay, Keane, Travis – all played at the end of the year then returned the following summer for the title in a sport stadium and FC Barcelona's Camp Nou. New ballroom, are you? Most of those who have multiple covers, often with different tempos, even if they are the same song by the same band. You will find that many of them are good Foxtrots around 30 bars per minute and you can push social foxtrot (but not a true ballroom Foxtrot) to about 36 bars per minute. Any faster, and swing will be more comfortable. When you get up over 40 years and above 50 bars per minute, you have the possibility of Quickstep. A lot of the music of the Swing era has been labeled as a fox-trot, especially early, when Swing was less appreciated by adults, but children were dancing the jitterbug anyway if the tempo is right. Cha Cha was not even a thought until 1952, so you can not exclude that from your list.

I'm not going to Kid, playing Jazz Guitar is extremely difficult at best and almost completely impossible at worst. However, there are things you can do to improve your improvisation skills and feeling and we'll discuss throughout this multi part series then to take additional documents in the near future.

Practice

What can I say about the practice? Just do it and do it often! Do it every day. When you think you've done enough do it again.

I do not mean just picking up the guitar and play a few songs, I mean the real practice for environmental you will eventually play in what is, of course, in a set with other musicians who we hope will always be better than you.

Here are the basics …

When practicing always use a metronome!

If I am not clear in May that part may be this helps: Always use a metronome!

If you feel you do not need a metronome stop reading this article, stop practicing and go for ice cream because you get the same or better results and you will surely find fun a whole lot more in the process if you do. If you are committed read.

Still with me?

When you use your metronome try feel your timing on different clicks. For example, for a swing feel that your click of the metronome on beats 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3. This will give you a feeling immediate swing and also remove the ugly crutch if you have to know where 1 is really beat.

We never, ever, we want have our drummer, who may be in the middle of an improvisation experimental complex when you need it most, to tell us where 1 is defeated. How many times have you been in this situation?

Sound simple? It is!

Sounds easy? Try for a month and you let me know how it goes.

Let's dive in a bit. When practicing using this technique of moving clicks of a metronome beats to try these: to exercise a tune 3 / 4 using the metronome click, once per measure and only on Beat 2. Then just go on beats 3. See how changes in sentiment. Practice it, learn it, smell it and then you can start to make it his own.

If you want get fancy up the metronome to click on every fifth beat while you play a piece in 3. This will shift the accents and the feeling from bar to bar and allow Also your brain to get rid of it is a learned behavior that is designed to make you want to think not.

Whether you have your instrument with you or not, you can practice your timing. If you get a small battery operated metronome, which I recommend, you can bring it with you when you're driving back and forth to work. Examples above practices in your car while singing. Do not worry if you can not sing you try to have these feelings and if you can not express these feelings with your voice you can never really possess.

I have mentioned several examples of moving beats. The idea is simple enough so you can find variations on your own and you must keep changing them when you practice.

The point here is that true understanding and your eventual ownership of different rhythms and feelings associated with them do not reside strictly within these rhythms and feelings. Looking only within the beats you're shutting off all creative thought, which is necessary for truly exploit their full potential.

Real understanding is outside and you have to know what that means. To find really, you must force yourself and be prepared to look elsewhere, but their own beats. This simple technique metronome you will start and point you on your way to achieve this goal. Do not limit yourself to apply this technique yet, but this statement is for another part of this series.
