Clayton Brothers are Back In The Swing of Things with a new album and a brand new record label. Brothers John and Jeff, the former on bass and saxophone in the second, are two of the most prolific musicians in mainstream jazz. Also part of the famous Clayton-Hamilton Big Band Orchestra, the brothers and sisters have won their reputation with an estimated number of records sold and most of the dates sold-out concerts around the world, not to mention appearances special arrangements on records by everyone from Diana Krall and Count Basie. Does the feeling, the cold brain of modern jazz leave you cold? Perhaps you would like a bit of "gospel" in your jazz? Maybe you just want to take an old hymn and give some update. Then you must load an arsenal of gospel jazz arrangements.

Gospel jazz chords involve extending the agreement of the dominant seventh with complementary tones. The ninth, 11th and 13th Accords are all used in jazz gospel. These extensions of the dominant chord basic seventh. If you do not know how to form a dominant seventh, here the screwing.

The dominant seventh is formed by taking a basic triad, which is 1-3-5, and adding a B7. In the key of C, you must play the notes C, E, G and BB. Agreement C is formed by the C, E and G. The major seventh is B, so you down to a half-step to Bb. Play this rope and see what it brings to mind some great blues and jazz. The agreement of C dominant seventh is written as C7.

Now you'll learn the theory a little more understanding of gospel jazz chords. As the notes of a major scale are numbered 1-7, which comes ninth tone come from? It has recently expanded the scope beyond one octave. After the signal seventh of the scale is the root, which is considered the eighth tone of the scale. While the tone ninth is the second, only one octave higher. To form a ninth chord, take dominant seventh and the ninth added.

The strings of 11th and 13th are similarly formed. The tone of the scale 11 is just an octave above the fourth, while the 13th is an octave above the sixth. The 13th is one of jazz chords most used gospel. By extending agreements of these two extremes, you'll hear some interesting tones and harmonics develop in a well-tuned instrument.

Being As each note of these agreements is easily played on a piano, the resulting sound may get a little muddy. Some tones to create a confrontation with other tones. A conflict is when two notes are a half apart are played together. Sometimes conflict is useful, while other times it is not. For these reasons, the lower tones are often left out of the gospel of extended jazz chords. Take the ninth chord, eg. The fifth is often dropped from the agreement to create a more specific focus on the third, seventh and ninth of the string sounds. Try it and hear the difference.

Despite all this seems a bit complex at first, the simple string theory Gospel Jazz comes naturally with a little practice. Try these chords in different keys, ignore the tones of different agreements, and find what gospel jazz chords sound better for you. These Strings are useful in other styles of jazz, as well. Even popular music today makes use of sheet extended gospel jazz chords. Tasteful use of these ropes can spice up even the most ordinary of hymns and gospel songs.

I think it must be broken and be: Jazz Blues Classical Country Lyrics & Singing (they are almost the same thing!) R & B and Soul Hip hop and rap dance indie pop and pop punk (all pop punk band Paramore, for example, FOB, etc. ..) and Rock Alternative Metal and Punk Other – music that you agree?

Down tempo style is a good mix of slow rhythms with ambient style. It is intended to be relaxing. This is equivalent to smooth jazz electronica.

When creating a down-tempo track in ACID Music Studio, I recommend you set your BPM quite low, about 90 to 70. Use slower, hypnotic "Groove Type" beats, Nice and arrange instrumental pieces on it. You can use the voice and the soothing sound of others in the back ground to help complete the trail.

With a strong time (same thing) its all be nice and chilled.

Try to find a rock style Nice drum loop, or better yet a blues or jazz drum loop. Define your beats per minute to about 90 and the layer of a different light on percussion top. You can use another loop, or you can do it all from scratch. Your call.

Find a loop of very nice bass that meshes with smooth drums. I like to let the bass play louder than the drums, but that's my style. If you play bass, you have an advantage in down-tempo music.

Now use some good synth loops, or something you even play. Make it kinda floating above the drums and bass. Try to keep all smooth and groovy. No sudden changes.

A nice slow melody acoustic guitar works very well for down-tempo. Aim to do something that is foot tapping along to the beat of a slow pace and Nice.

Just keep the focus on the bass and drums. If you keep in mind Slow and groovy, you should be ready to continue.

George Shearing was born blind, August 13, 1919, but his life was fast and full of achievements. Born in London, the shear is the youngest of nine children even if born blind, then to create one of the most recognized sounds in jazz.

At the age of three, Shearing learned to play the piano. Then, Linden Lodge School for the Blind was his home away from home for four years. While in school, Shearing also learned to play the accordion. He even played in a local pub for the equivalent of nearly $ 5 a week.

Shortly after, Shearing joined a group of blind musicians. In 1937, at age 18, George Shearing began recording music with Leonard Feather. After three years of records with feathers, Harry Parry group made shear. Meanwhile, the shear has also been honored as the winner of seven polls Melody Maker.

Although he moved to the United States in 1947, he became a U.S. citizen in 1956. During those nine years, George Shearing began playing a new style of music that incorporated swing, bop, modern and classical.

1949 marks the year that Shearing founded the first George Shearing Quintet. The quintet included Marjorie Hyams, Chuck Wayne, John Levy, and Denzil Best. The first single from the quintet was September in the rain, and it sold over 900,000 copies. In 1969, the quintet stopped recording with Capitol, but Sheaving solved the problem by starting Sheba his own record label.

From 1970 to 1978, the quintet disassembled. During these eight years, and the meeting with George Shearing were released. Shearing recorded and released the album in collaboration with renowned bassist Andy Simpkins, Rusty Jones, drummer and musician Stéphane Grappelli. Over the years, including the music of other collaborations with the Montgomery Brothers, Marian McPartland, Brian Q. Torff, Jim Hall, Hank Jones, Kenny Davern, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Ernestine Anderson, Dakota Staton, Carmen McRae and Nancy Wilson. Concord Records signed George Shearing in 1979. Under Concord Records, he won a Grammy Award in 1982 and 1983.

From the 1980s through the 1990s, George Shearing in many festivals, was on many radio and made numerous recordings. Collaboration with Neil Swainson occurred in the 1990s through the early 21st century. The Rare Delight of You, an album with Shearing and the John Pizzarelli Trio, was released in 2002. It has received good reviews.

Along the way, now a popular piano technique was named after mowing. It is called Shearing Voicing. This technique uses a block chord with the melody on top of the right hand while the hand left repeats the melody in a lower octave and makes him stand out on the right hand. It is a difficult style to master, especially when you playing solo. In his quintet Shearing has the vibes player playing the melody also, creating what some have described as a harmonic "shimmering" effect.

Jack Kerouac's novel On the Road describes a lovely performance shearing. In all his years of service music, Shearing recorded and released nearly 100 albums and has received many notable awards. Westminster College in Utah gave him an honorary doctorate in music in 1975. Shear also received the Horatio Alger Award for Distinguished Americans in 1978. In 1993, the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement was given to him. Shear has received an honorary degree from Hamilton College in New York. It was also a Doctor of Music honoris causa doctorate. He received the first American Music Award of the National Arts Club of New York in 1998. Recently, the BBC Jazz Awards Lifetime 'Achievement was awarded to Shearing in 2003. George Shearing becomes Sir George Shearing in 2007 when he was knighted for his services to music.

Now, Sir George and his wife travel from their apartment in New York Berkshires frequently. Shearing is semi-retired.
