There are many people today who love jazz. In fact, almost every household has someone who loves listening to his cool rhythm and tempo moving. However, jazz music does not come that easy because it all started. In fact, based on the origin of jazz, this type of music genre has had its share of times before he strikes up low popularity. While jazz is now enjoyed by a lot of people, there was a time in its history when it was not also accepted as it is today.
Somehow, the popularity of jazz and its unpopularity was at the beginning to do with his being clearly identified as black music. But now, when issues of racial discrimination began to slowly decrease, any who can say that jazz music, played not only by black people but also white, is here to stay.
In general, the origin jazz believed to have started in New Orleans before spreading to Chicago, then Kansas City, then New York and finally the area of the West Coast. Both the song and the instrumental parts of the blues are known to be essential that we can still be seen mainly in the genre today. There were and still are many types of nature and it was all started with ragtime, which officially began in New Orleans or what is also known as Dixieland jazz. Then after that, there was jazz swing, which was also known as bop or bebop. Cool jazz or progressive followed thereafter, which was also then replaced by the hard bop and neo-bop.
Then there was the third stream and the modern and mainstream jazz type that many people like to dance, which is Latin jazz. Of course, rock and roll has also its influence on the genre with the entry into the rock to jazz, which was followed last by the avant-garde or what is commonly known as free jazz.
The origin of jazz actually started in the later years 19th century and was derived from the work songs of the blacks, their songs of sorrow, their cries field, their songs and spiritual songs, the melodic rhythmic and harmonic elements were considered as having been dominated by the African influence. However, because was considered a musical genre that has been improvised, spontaneous and emotional in nature and because it was mainly associated with blacks, jazz has not received the level of recognition he deserved.
It was the European public has shown more warm reception to jazz, which makes the jazz musicians of America are in this country to work on their business. Jazz just won a wider audience for the adjustment or imitations of it were made by white orchestras. In the latter part of 1930 when he was known for becoming an entertainment legitimate and that's when Benny Goodman launched concerts at Carnegie Hall in groups with mixed racial origins.
