The good thing about a CD like this when the talent is this rich even if jazz is not your kind favorite you still can not help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.
Listen At The Movies and I think you can find there is not much to say please. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and Stanley Clarke is obviously in full shape. So much so that if you're even slightly into Jazz music you'll love this album.

The trumpet has always been an integral part of traditional big band, both as an instrument for lead and soloist. The section consists of four players, with the first president to be labeled "head" chair and the second part generally regarded as the "jazz" chair. Although improvised solos can be played by any of the four players, the second trumpet is usually dependent to cover the solos in section when necessary.

Modern trumpet players today are expected to possess and carry a variety of mutes to alter the sound of the instrument. In each bag is a trumpet straight mute, cup mute, Harmon mute and a plunger. Each of these "tools" are designed to change the color and sound of the instrument showing cup (low piston) or high (straight and Harmon) harmonics. The use of mutes can significantly alter the overall sound of the section with a variety of colors. Gil Evans was the arranger famous muted trumpet used extensively in his compositions and arrangements.
